Finally the temps are getting above freezing, the snow is melting, and the birds are moving!<\/p>\n

Geese and grackles and blackbirds are the big movers right now, and it is finally fun to get some birds moving around the neighborhood again. \u00a0Today I had 29 species by 11:43am, so I knew I was going to get to 30–first time since January 15. \u00a0Ended the day with 33 species. \u00a0Highlights were the return of the American Tree Sparrow<\/strong>, and flocks of Snow Geese<\/strong>. \u00a0A very distant flyby male Common Merganser<\/strong> gave hope that I’ll soon see other waterfowl from the yard as well.<\/p>\n
