The first few hours of the morning have been good lately, I had a Wilson’s Warbler<\/strong> for two days, and this morning I finally added Yellow-throated Vireo<\/strong> for the year. \u00a0Unfortunately it was too quick for me to get a photo.<\/p>\n

But I did get a photo of a Black-billed Cuckoo<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

Bill-less Black-billed Cuckoo! Stupid leaf! At least you can see the gray undertail.<\/p><\/div>\n

OK, the photo is terrible. \u00a0The stupid leaf blocked the view of the bill, and its not a great shot anyway. \u00a0But it could be worse! \u00a0Here’s the shot from the burst just before this one–<\/p>\n

Headless and tail-less Black-billed Cuckoo.<\/p><\/div>\n

Can’t make out heads or tails on this cuckoo–literally! \u00a0But once again, could be worse. \u00a0Here’s the first shot I “got”–can’t even find the bird in the foliage!<\/p>\n

Can you see the Black-billed Cuckoo in the foliage? Me neither!<\/p><\/div>\n

Just to round out the post, here’s the shot I “got” of the Yellow-throated Vireo. \u00a0Let me know if you can see it, because I can’t!<\/p>\n
